Accidental Icon: Details Beauty is Within the Person and the Design…Combined

This week I introduced you to the beautiful clothing designed by Masayo Yasuki, the creative director of dogstar, a company based in Australia. Already some readers have asked where they can get dogstar in the U.S. Although sadly not available in retail here, there is a on-line store on the brand's website.

Since in New York it feels like the dog days of summer I have styled the pieces to have a lighter feel. But because I know when winter comes I will want to celebrate my dark side, I am inspired by these beautiful photos from dogstar's Winter 2015 Lookbook featuring the Echoe pants and Teka tunic I wore in Monday's post.

Not only do I love the look of the Echoe pants, but the drape and fabric choice combine to give them a beautiful sense of movement and a flattering silhouette. To be really frank about it, my behind has never looked this good! I love high waisted pants like these that that can be complimented with an interesting belt. The surprise of the rolled up cuff at the ankle is icing on the cake.
